Description

The Nikon NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.8 S is a full-frame standard prime for Nikon Z-mount mirrorless cameras. This S-Line optic pairs a bright f/1.8 aperture with high-resolution rendering and a customisable control ring.

Top Features

Focal Length
Its 50mm focal length gives a natural, true-to-life standard field of view on full-frame FX cameras, ideal for portraits, street and everyday scenes.

Bright Aperture
A bright f/1.8 maximum aperture (to f/16) performs strongly in low light and creates a smooth, shallow depth of field for portraits.

S-Line Optics
S-Line optics use twelve elements in nine groups with two ED and two aspherical elements plus Nano Crystal Coat for high resolution and reduced flare.

Autofocus
A stepping motor drives quiet, fast and precise autofocus with minimal focus breathing, well suited to both stills and video.

Close Focusing
A 0.4m minimum focus distance gives up to 0.15x magnification for everyday close-ups and detail shots.

Aperture Blades
A 9-blade rounded diaphragm keeps the aperture circular when stopped down, rendering smooth, natural background bokeh.

Control Ring
A customisable control ring can be assigned to adjust aperture, exposure compensation or manual focus for quick, quiet handling.

Build and Sealing
Dust- and drip-resistant construction, a 62mm filter thread and a light 415g body make it a dependable everyday prime.
