Description

The Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II is a second-generation standard zoom for full-frame E-mount cameras. It pairs G Master optics with a constant f/2.8 aperture in a lighter, faster body.

Top Features

G Master Optics
A G Master optical design uses twenty elements in fifteen groups, with five aspherical (two XA), two ED and two Super ED elements for high resolution.

Constant f/2.8 Aperture
Holds a constant f/2.8 across the whole 24-70mm range for steady exposure and shallow depth of field, stopping down to f/22.

Four XD Linear Motors
Four high-thrust XD linear motors with a floating focus mechanism drive fast, precise and quiet autofocus for demanding stills and video.

11-Blade Circular Aperture
An 11-blade circular aperture renders exceptionally smooth, rounded background bokeh consistently across the whole zoom range.

Close Focusing
Focuses to 0.21m at wide and 0.30m at telephoto, reaching 0.32x maximum magnification for strong close-up performance.

Compact G Master Design
Around 18% smaller and lighter than the original at just 695g, making this professional standard zoom easier to handhold all day.

82mm Filter Thread
Accepts standard 82mm screw-in filters, so circular polarisers and ND filters fit easily for landscape and video work.

In-Body Stabilization
Has no in-lens OSS and relies on the camera's in-body stabilisation; on bodies without IBIS use a faster shutter speed.

Dust & Moisture Resistant
Dust- and moisture-resistant sealed construction keeps it reliable for professional use outdoors in demanding conditions.
