Description

The Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 is a full-frame standard zoom for Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras. This second-generation A063 pairs a constant f/2.8 aperture with fast VXD autofocus in a lightweight body.

Top Features

Focal Range
Its 28-75mm range covers wide-angle through short telephoto, making it a genuinely versatile everyday standard zoom for full-frame Sony cameras.

Constant Aperture
A constant f/2.8 aperture is maintained across the whole zoom range for steady exposure and shallow depth of field, closing to f/22.

VXD Autofocus
Tamron's VXD linear-motor focus system delivers fast, quiet and highly precise autofocus that suits demanding stills and video work.

Optical Construction
Seventeen elements in fifteen groups, including LD and glass-moulded aspherical elements, control aberrations for sharp, high-contrast results.

Close Focusing
Focuses as close as 0.18m at the wide end for up to 1:2.7 (0.37x) magnification, great for close-up detail.

Aperture Blades
A 9-blade circular aperture keeps the opening rounded when stopped down, rendering smooth, natural background blur.

Build and Sealing
Moisture-resistant construction with a protective fluorine coating on the front element helps it shrug off water, dust and fingerprints.

Handling
A light 540g body, 67mm filter thread and Tamron Lens Utility support for custom functions and firmware make it easy to live with.
