Description

The Tamron 50-400mm f/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD is a full-frame telephoto zoom built for Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras. Its wide 8x zoom range covers standard through super-telephoto framing in a single compact lens.

Top Features

Focal Range
An 8x 50-400mm zoom covers standard, telephoto and super-telephoto framing in one lens, from portraits and events to distant wildlife and sports.

Maximum Aperture
The variable aperture runs from f/4.5 at 50mm to f/6.3 at 400mm, keeping the lens compact and manageable for such a long zoom.

VC Stabilization
Tamron's in-lens VC Vibration Compensation steadies handheld shots, which is especially valuable at the long 400mm telephoto end.

VXD Autofocus
A fast, quiet VXD linear-motor focus system tracks moving subjects precisely, keeping wildlife and sports sharp for stills and video.

Optical Construction
Twenty-four elements in eighteen groups with LD, XLD and hybrid aspherical elements suppress aberrations for crisp detail throughout the long range.

Close Focusing
Focuses to 0.25m at the wide end for 1:2 (0.5x) near-macro magnification, letting you fill the frame with small subjects.

Build and Sealing
Moisture-resistant construction with a protective fluorine front coating keeps it dependable for outdoor wildlife and sports shooting.

Handling
A 9-blade circular aperture, 67mm filter thread and Tamron Lens Utility support come in a well-balanced 1155g body.
