Description

A compact, lightweight telephoto zoom for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras. Model A047 covers 70-300mm with quiet RXD autofocus, a versatile travel-friendly reach for portraits, sports and wildlife.

Top Features

70-300mm Telephoto Zoom
A versatile 70-300mm full-frame telephoto range brings distant subjects closer, from portraits and events to sports and wildlife.

RXD Stepping Motor AF
A quiet, responsive RXD stepping-motor autofocus keeps moving subjects sharp and is well suited to both stills and video.

Compact and Lightweight
At about 545g and 148mm long, it is the world's smallest and lightest full-frame 70-300mm zoom, ideal for travel.

Optical Construction
Fifteen elements in ten groups, including a low-dispersion element, suppress chromatic aberration for sharp, high-contrast results across the range.

Variable Aperture
A variable aperture from f/4.5 at 70mm to f/6.3 at 300mm keeps the design light and pocketable for a telephoto.

For Sony E-Mount
Built for full-frame Sony E-mount Alpha cameras and also usable on APS-C bodies, where it gives a longer cropped reach.

67mm Filter Thread
Uses a common, widely available 67mm filter thread shared with many Tamron mirrorless zooms for easy filter swapping.

Moisture-Resistant Build
Moisture-resistant construction makes it dependable for everyday outdoor use in portrait, sport and wildlife photography.
